TODAY’S MARKET

The "C" coffee futures contract here closed with "spot" Mar. 205 points net lower and near May 210 points net lower. Today’s sales are put at 31,157 lots or 7,789,250 bags. In London, the Robusta contract closed with “spot” Mar. $15 net lower as did May. Sales were put at 6,099 lots.

In the market for actuals here, Colombians, UGQ, sold FOB for Mar. shipment at 76¢ over May “C.” Colombian supremos, screen 17/18, were offered FOB for Mar./Apr. shipment from 80¢ over May “C.” Semi washed Brazils, 2/3s, 15/16 were offered FOB for Mar. through June equal shipment from 5¢ over the relevant months “C.” Santos 2s, screen 17/18, fine cup, were offered FOB for Mar. through June equal shipment from 9¢ to 8¢ under the relevant months “C.” Santos 2/3s, medium to good bean, fine cup, were offered FOB for Mar. through June equal shipment from 11¢ under the relevant months “C.” Santos 4s were offered FOB for Feb./Mar. shipment from 22¢ to 19¢ under the relevant months “C,” depending on description.
